I only can watch... I wish I have but firecrackers are banned in my country... especially during the festive seasons. :(

Fireworks kind of scare me. ^^; I don't mind watching a professional display, but people just setting them off in their yards make me nervous. Besides, where I live, it's illegal anyway.

I requested supplies to further my practice in pyrotechnics. Request rejected :C

Ever since I was a kid my friends and family have set off fireworks. We live just a few blocks from the park where my hometown does a HUGE fireworks show (so big we've beat New York's show a few years). Since we live so close all of our close friends and family come over for Independence Day. Our hometown has three shows, the final one being an over an hour long with a finale of about 15 minutes that incorporates 1000 shells launched in one minute, triple launch stations, and shells over 12 inches in diameter. I'm not proud at all. :) Anyway! After the final big show everyone comes over and we have a barbecue and party. We launch fireworks until 4 am. Most of them are homemade and half-baked. I'm surprised no one got hurt! But the parents were always responsible and kept the kids safe.

Two stories I remember fondly: my dad's homemade potato gun being way more powerful than we thought and launching the projectile onto my boss' roof and singing it a bit. The other being my dad's best friend saying a box of wet firecrackers wouldn't go off. My dad said "You're nuts!" and threw a match into it. It went off for HOURS!

In regards to the verbage, we commonly use "set off" or "light" for the act of using fireworks. When we make them we would "put them together" or "put the fireworks together."

I can not be around fireworks because of my ears. But I am so thankful for that reason because I hate fireworks.

No and I think if I made the Hanar happy, Liara/Wrex/Tali will get jealous and try to kill me.

Other than that I see no point in fireworks for New Years lol.

I have my own science-fantasy universe in which I write my novels, so I felt right at home when I stumbled over ME. I always went with Garrus, because turians remind me a lot of a species I have. Besides, Brandon Keener is gold (:
But Tali is an RI for Maleshep in ME2, don't you know that?
