I've wanted to paint this place for a while now! This is the well known Refuge, where Simba finds shelter and a new home after the incident in the
Gorge of Kings. As usual, I tried to be as close to the movie as I could, but I did change a few minor details. And oh my DOG, painting all those trees was boring!!!

General Disclaimer: All of my TLK artworks are reproductions of original scenes from the movie(s) and were painted from scratch, using a reference screenshot for guidance. In the first step, I use a transparent layer over the screenshot to mark key locations (with dots and rough lines), which will later allow me to recreate the proportions and landmarks of the original landscape. This is a necessary step in the art of close reproduction. After that, the screenshot gets deleted. In the end, each of these paintings have higher quality and improvements over the original, as well as a more vibrant color palette and many changes in details.
