I've been meaning to do this for at least a year. This is my cover version of "Into the thick of it" by Hiroki Kikuta, my favorite piece of the Seiken Densetsu 2 soundtrack. I'm playing an ocarina as the main instrument. I cut it in such a way that it can be listened to as an endless loop.
I've lived in the wild and among wild animals for many years before I was even a full adult. I understand the feeling of being at places where people have never been, to be way out there between the trees. Australia, New Guinea - I've been in dark forests and jungles, surrounded by hundreds of fireflies. I've crossed savannas and oceans. In the wild, every day is an adventure.
Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana), which came out in 1992/1993, was one of the main influences that made me an adventurer. Both it and its music had a huge influence on me, not only because it was the first RPG I had ever played, but because it remains to be one of the best this day. If you are a gamer and have never played it, get it now. It's the original - forget the entire rest of the series.
The picture in the back is an official artwork, but I've been painting it for a while, so there is a sneak peek for ya. Not sure if I will ever post it, though.
That's one of my favourite tunes. Although I must say, I don't agree with you on this; "forget the entire rest of the series." Seiken Densetsu 3, Sword of Mana(remake of the original Seiken Densetsu) and Legend of Mana(it's a bit different, but still it rocks.. it has pretty good music, too) are good, too. But we can forget about the rest.
